We are looking for an (mid-level) Android Engineer to join our Learning Experience Area in our office in Berlin, Germany!
As part of our team, we’ll collectively tackle the most impactful opportunities within our learning activities (lessons and reviews) in order to provide high-quality and engaging learning experiences.
In your role as Android Engineer, your mission will be to change the future of language learning.
You will work closely with the product & engineering managers, product & learner experience designers, subject matter experts, and cross-platform engineers to bring this mission to reality for Babbel learners.
- Support in all phases of development from planning to implementing and testing
Collaborate cross-functionally to inform API design and architectural decisions
Work in a cross-functional and agile environment
Maintain and make use of a good overview of the overall technology stack and infrastructure
Independently focus on continuous learning and improvement and drive the evolution of our engineering practices
- A few years of experience with Android development
Proven ability to create a functioning app
Comfortable working in a lean and agile environment (e.g. with SCRUM)
Excellent understanding of mobile platforms and their unique features concerning technology and user experience
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working with Kotlin
Ability to find the right balance between time-to-delivery and quality
Fluency in written and spoken English
