Baseline Profiles are a new way to dramatically improve the performance of your app with minimal effort. This talk will dive deep into how Cloud Profiles work, and introduce the latest improvements in ART profiles called Baseline Profiles. We will introduce what Baseline Profiles are, and what ART does under the hood to make your apps faster. The talk will also provide context for Android Platform improvements over the past several years starting with Android L & M where ART introduced full AoT compilation and the Optimizing apps dialog; Profile Guided Optimizations (PGO) starting Android N; Cloud Profiles in Android P and now Baseline Profiles. Developers will learn how to create Baseline Profiles and more importantly how to benchmark and tune profiles.
